So this girl I really like

Just gave me some solid advice

She said;

Imagine yourself ten years from now,

Looking back at this very moment in time.

Would you think or act differently and how?

Could you this moment with happiness endow?

So this girl I really like

Made me wonder and smile

I thought;

Looking at my now in ten years’ time,

I would probably act differently than now.

I would tell myself peaks of love and joy to climb.

I would make my blackened thoughts an unrepeated crime.

So this girl I really like

Has made me like her even more.

I’m thinking;

In ten years’ time she’ll still give me advice,

I will respect and cherish her even more than now.

I will deepen myself in her and try to listen twice.

I will not allow my foolish thoughts this girl to sacrifice.
