Chains of blindness
By Kean
Riber
It is with
great dismay I look upon our world.
Darkness is
no longer in shadows hidden.
Tragedy of
history repeats in an endless twirl.
Mankind’s suicidal
workings are praised,
And thus
Nature with black ribbons is laced.
I see that Lucifer
our world in plain sight roams.
Hearts are
now cast in hell made molds.
With greed
and dishonesty we build our homes.
Beauty of
life smothered by bleakish grey,
Which forces
us our fellow beings to betray.
Blessed we
are with the freedom of constrain.
Toil in abundance
fills only half of bellies.
With
numbing of mind we ourselves entertain.
The fog of
ignorance sets us naively free,
And we fail
our short-comings clearly to see.
We dance joyfully
upon the flames of hellfire.
The soil of
life will forever be scorched.
The progress
of destruction we blindly admire.
The tongues
of reality we brutally sacrifice,
And the
living of now we thoughtlessly exercise.
I look and
I see the disdain of what is to be.
The generations
to come will fully pay.
I fear that
the future will not set them free.
We have
come to where time is not enough,
But I can
no longer be silent and carry this bluff.
Any hope of
turning things around is now lost.
Mayhem we
can no longer try to escape.
But our
small remains of good we must exhaust.
Towards our
doom with courage we must walk,
And seek
the chains of blindness again to unlock.
